About Ping G The Ping G Driver is a popular golf club that has been praised for its forgiveness, distance, and feel. It is available in a variety of models to fit different swing speeds and preferences. Here are some of the key features of the Ping G Driver: Dragonfly Technology: Ultra-thin sections were created by removing eight grams from the crown to better position the center of gravity (CG) for high launch/low spin with a high moment of inertia (MOI), adding to forgiveness in the Ti 8-1-1 head. Vortec Technology: Vortec Technology reduces turbulent wake during the downswing for faster clubhead speed with improved stability and forgiveness to help generate distance. Variable-Thickness T9S Face: T9S has a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a thin face to increase ball speed. Extreme Low/Back CG: The CG is positioned low and back in the head for high launch and low spin. Simple Adjustability: The adjustable hosel allows golfers to fine-tune the loft and lie of the club to create the desired launch conditions. The Ping G Driver is a good choice for golfers of all skill levels who are looking for a club that can help them hit longer, more consistent drives. It is particularly well-suited for golfers who struggle with slice or hook tendencies. Here are some of the benefits of using the Ping G Driver: Increased distance: The Ping G Driver is designed to help golfers hit longer drives. This is due to a number of factors, including the high launch and low spin that the club produces. Improved accuracy: The Ping G Driver is also designed to help golfers hit more accurate drives. This is due to the club's high MOI, which helps to reduce the effects of off-center hits. Increased forgiveness: The Ping G Driver is very forgiving, even on mishits. This is due to the club's low CG and high MOI. Good feel: The Ping G Driver has a good feel at impact. This is due to the T9S face and the club's overall construction. Overall, the Ping G Driver is a great choice for golfers who are looking for a club that can help them hit longer, more consistent drives. It is a forgiving club that can help golfers of all skill levels improve their game.
About Ping Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.
